Please join us for a full day of professional development on ETRs, IEPs, and LRE. We will use the Ohio Department of
Education and Workforce (DEW)’s resources, including Ohio’s IDEA Monitoring Process Guide as well as Ohio Department of
Children and Youth resources to learn about compliance and best practices for ETRs, IEPs, and LRE decision-making. This
series will provide practical tools, compliance updates, and collaborative strategies to support meaningful student outcomes. Whether new to the field or a seasoned educator, you'll leave with refreshed insights and actionable steps to support the work of ETR and IEP compliance and best practices in your school district.
Participants will be able to:
- Identify requirements and best practices for ETRs PreK through 12, noting the differences in PreK referrals, transitions from part C and planning pages.
- Describe the ETR elements that inform sections in the IEP.
- Compare and contrast the LRE continuums in preschool through 12th grade and identify tools to assist in determining the LRE.
- Recognize the elements necessary for a compliant IEP goal.
- Select the best tool to assist with writing and monitoring compliant ETRs and IEPs.
Special Education Compliance and Best Practices (PreK-12): ETR, IEP, and LRE meets from 9am-3:30pm in person at the ESC of NEO. Registration information is available on our PD calendar or at the links below.
